Hiroaki Harai
Profile
Hiroaki Harai is a Group Leader at NICT, National Institute of Information and Communications Laboratory, Tokyo, Japan. After he joined the NICT in April 1998, he has been engaged in R&D of optical networking and new network architecture. Since September 2008, he has been leading the AKARI Architecture Design Project for designing a new-generation network from a clean slate.He received the Ph. D. degree in information and computer sciences from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan. He was awarded an Outstanding Young Researcher in the 3rd IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Young Researcher Award, 2007.
